Do you offer express delivery?

Yes, we offer two options for customers at checkout.

1) Regular default postage via An Post

2) Express postage via DPD

Please allow 3 working days for personalised orders to be processed.

Email sales@thewineopener.ie for urgent delivery requests and we will do out very best to make sure your package goes to the top of the queue.

How do I know my order is confirmed?

After your purchase is complete, keep an eye on your inbox for an order confirmation email. Should you not find it in your primary inbox, we kindly suggest checking your junk mail or spam folders. If, by any chance, you still cannot locate it, please do not hesitate to contact us via our Contact Us form. We will promptly re-issue your confirmation email for your convenience and records.

Can I amend my order?

If you've made a purchase with The Wine Opener and need to make any adjustments, whether it's modifying the engraving on your order, or updating the shipping address, please get in touch within 24 hours of placing your order. If your order hasn't left our facility yet, we'll be delighted to assist with any changes.

Please keep in mind that our dedicated team at The Wine Opener strives to ship your order promptly, so in some cases, we may not be able to accommodate cancellations or updates once the order is on its way.

How does Pay Later with Klarna work?

Klarna Pay in 3 instalments allows you to divide your purchase cost into three equal payments. Your initial payment is processed when your order is confirmed, and the second and third instalments are scheduled for collection 30 and 60 days later. Rest assured, there's no need to keep a close eye on the calendar – each instalment is automatically debited from the credit or debit card you used during checkout.

And the best part? You won't be charged any interest or extra fees.* Sounds pretty fantastic, doesn't it?

Here's how to pay with Klarna:

  • Shop at The Wine Opener as usual and choose Klarna as your payment method. Just ensure that your credit or debit card has sufficient funds to cover the first payment at the time of your order.
  • Look out for an order confirmation email and a separate email from Klarna, which will contain all the necessary payment information.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of paying in three equal instalments – the first upon ordering, the second 30 days later, and the third 60 days after your initial payment.

What are the shipping costs and times?

Shipping within Ireland and the UK is between 3 - 5 working days. Please allow up to 8 working days for shipping outside Ireland and the UK. If you have not received your product in this timeframe please send an email to sales@thewineopener.ie and we will be happy to help.

What is your returns policy?

At The Wine Opener, your satisfaction is our top priority. If, for any reason, you're not entirely delighted with your purchase, you can return any product in its original condition for a full refund within 30 days from the date of purchase.

Can I use more than one discount code?

Only one discount code can be used per order and cannot be combined with other promotions.

The Wine Opener FAQs

Can I use normal batteries in the wine opener?

Yes you can but its not recommended as the rechargeable batteries that come with the product are stronger and made for the device.

Can I travel through the airport with The Wine Opener in my hand luggage?

Yes, remove the batteries from the device and treat it like all other electrical items. The corkscrew is concealed; this is why you can bring it through security. Remember not to gift wrap it, you will not be able to remove the batteries and it will be taken from you.

Can I use The Wine Opener on champagne or prosecco?

No please do not use The Wine Opener on Champagne or Prosecco bottles as the device will break and will not be covered under warranty.

How can I remove the cork from The Wine Opener when I've opened my wine?

You need to place The Wine Opener at a 90 degree angle for it to feed out. If the cork gets stuck (this can happen if the device is not placed in the center of the cork) please use a blunt object to apply pressure and it will release.

Does The Wine Opener come with a warranty?

We offer a 1 year warranty on The Wine Opener for our customers.
